Vienna Shorts 2023

The 20th edition of Vienna Shorts, the international short film festival in Vienna, will take place in Viennese cinemas from June 1 to 6, 2023 - and online until June 30, 2023.

A jubilee with 340 films from 58 countries, 5 open-air events at MuseumsQuartier and free admission for everyone under 20.

Under the motto "Just A Moment, Please!" (Just a moment, please!), an invitation is extended to pause amidst the noise of the world, current topics ranging from artificial intelligence to the climate crisis are addressed, and this year's focus is dedicated to special moments on the screen.

Portrait guests Kevin J. Everson and Claudrena N. Harold from the U.S. and Austrian filmmaker Christiana Perschon will be honored with personalities. Fresh talents can be found in the program as well as the Oscar-nominated animated film "Ice Merchant" by João Gonzalez or classics by Ruben Östlund, Agnès Varda or Miguel Gomes.
