Shepherds play an important role in the Christmas story: the “ordinary people” of all people are the first to hear of Jesus' birth. The shepherds are representative of us all; everyone can and should identify with them.
The Good Shepherds have become a tradition at MuTh: the Vienna Boys Choir celebrates as a family, with all visitors and with lots of music.
At the Vienna Boys Choir's Christmas concert, the various campus choirs present atmospheric motets and carols, a cappella and with orchestra. The main works of this year's concert series are the Magnificat by Jan Dismas Zelenka and Johann Sebastian Bach's famous chorale “Jesus bleibet meine Freude”.
