Between 1993 and 1996, a total of 25 people and organizations throughout Austria received explosive mail. During the same period, three explosive or pipe bombs detonated in Carinthia and Burgenland. The attacks resulted in four deaths, four life-threatening injuries and nine casualties.

The exhibition recalls the horror of right-wing extremist terror and the fear that accompanied Austria's minorities for four years. It commemorates the victims, allows those affected to have their say and sheds light on the role of the political and social climate of the 1990s in the acts of violence. Video interviews with contemporary witnesses and experts comment on facets of the events from different perspectives.

Right-wing extremism is no longer a marginal phenomenon. The inhumane propaganda has found its way into the so-called center of society. Disguised as harmless protest, it intervenes in social debates. The transition from right-wing extremist ideas to right-wing extremist terror, from verbal attacks to physical violence is fluid. The history of the letter and pipe bomb terror of the 1990s is not the only evidence of this. The topic is extremely topical.
