42nd Vienna City Marathon

The Vienna City Marathon, Austria's largest sporting event, makes it possible.
From the start at Reichsbrücke to the finish on Ringstraße between Burgtheater and Rathausplatz: the Vienna City Marathon takes you to Vienna's modern and historical highlights.
The event offers running events for the whole family on two days. On Sunday, in addition to the marathon over the 42.195 kilometers, a half marathon and the relay marathon will take place simultaneously. Saturday is the day for children's races, for inclusion and for shorter distances.
The Vienna City Marathon 2025 is dedicated to the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss II. The following events are planned:
The children's bat race the day before the marathon
A waltz world record before the start in front of/on the Reichsbrücke
Martin Grubinger as a special runner for the entire marathon, stopping twice on the running route by the festival bus and playing a new version of the Danube Waltz with the MyGroove band
200 runners in their own Strauss classification
