Die Fledermaus - Silvestervorstellung
Production after Otto Schenk
Stage design: Günther Schneider Siemssen
Costumes: Milena Canonero
Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus is unquestionably the most popular of all Viennese operettas. It is currently the only work of this genre on the programme at the Vienna State Opera. With a wink, wit and charm, the operetta holds up a mirror to society, caustically draws characters with all their twists and turns, and immerses the whole in inimitable, extremely popular music.
