In this story from 1001 Nights we meet the greedy wizard who wants to possess the magic lamp with the genie from the bottle to become even more powerful. Since he cannot do this himself, he needs the help of someone who does not strive for possession. The stars reveal to him the name Aladdin. Through a ruse, he gets Aladdin to fly with him on his flying carpet to the cave where the lamp is hidden. Because Aladdin cannot find the lamp, he locks him up and will not let him out until he brings him the magic lamp. Koko the parrot, Aladdin's friend and companion, follows them and frees Aladdin. On their way home, Aladdin and Koko meet the beautiful Princess Jasmine. Aladdin falls in love with her and wants to marry her. Jasmine also wants to marry Aladdin, but the Sultan, Jasmine's father, does not want to give his daughter to a "random" boy as a wife. After the ghost from the lamp brings his magic powers into play, Jasmine and Aladdin can hold the wedding.
