22th Vienna Citrus Show 2024
Terracotta or wooden bucket? Porcelain vase or metal pot? Or a cheap plastic pot?
Citrus and other Mediterranean plants had to be cultivated in containers even before the orangery buildings were built in the mid-16th century. The special exhibition at the 22nd Vienna Citrus Days is dedicated to the extensive topic of containers in which citrus plants were cultivated in the past and are cultivated today under the title "Harnesses for worldly plants - citrus and their planters".
As usual, visitors will be presented with a large part of the Schönbrunn citrus collection. Individual special specimens are presented, their (life) stories told and how they are cultivated explained. Particular attention is paid to the diversity of historical varieties.
Guided tour and lecture program, consultations, plant rarities, culinary specialties on the subject of citrus, book stand
