The fair Buch Wien is an international book fair and reading festival. More than 500 exhibitors and contributors from 10 countries present themselves at the Book Fair Vienna with their current offers of novels and stories, non-fiction, children's and youth books, electronic media, comics and biographies, trade journals, press, audio books and foreign language literature as well as thrillers, paperbacks, fantasy and science fiction or even literature for learning support, DVDs and antiquarian books.

An extensive supporting program with readings, discussions and lectures as well as a children's and youth program and a wide range of seminars and workshops for schoolchildren and fixed events held several times a day complement the Vienna Book Fair. Readings, author talks, book signing sessions and discussion events are also held at venues throughout Vienna as part of the reading festival week.
