To mark the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss Sohn's birth and the 50th anniversary of Robert Stolz's death, the Original Hoch- und Deutschmeister present concerts in front of Belvedere Palace (Upper Belvedere).

No composer has influenced Viennese dance music of the 19th century as much as Johann Strauss Sohn. And no one contributed as much to the cultivation and worldwide dissemination of his music in the 20th century as Robert Stolz. In order to express our "pride in Strauss" and at the same time pay tribute to the last authentic Strauss conductor Robert Stolz, the programs will always include a work by Stolz followed by Strauss, i.e. compositions by the two annual conductors will be juxtaposed so that similarities, further developments, but also contrasts become visible, or rather audible.
