A choral soundscape

Chorus sine nomine

The Chorus sine nomine transforms the Atelierhaus of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna into a multi-layered soundscape extending over three floors. The joys of life bodied forth in Johann Strauss' music refresh not only our jaded spirits, they appealed just as much to his contemporaries. This "Fest for Schani" (Schani = Jean = Johann) invents fictitious companions for the composer in a poetic biographical narrative combining contemporary choral music with sound worlds from earlier days.
