Southern California 150 years ago - today the place of Hollywood and Silicon Valley. The famous photographer Eadweard Muybridge shoots his wife's lover: a crime for which he has to justify himself publicly in a sensational murder trial. Just a few years later, this same Muybridge would become the inventor of the moving image, and his photographs of galloping horses remain legendary to this day. Alexander Kerlin has written a play based on this true story exclusively for the Volkstheater ensemble, which Kay Voges brings to the stage as a spectacular clash of theater and live film.
