CD presentation: Music of the Wiener Schule

Elisabeth Leonskaja, piano

Alban Berg: Sonate für Klavier op. 1
Arnold Schönberg: Suite für Klavier op. 25

Anyone who has heard Elisabeth Leonskaja perform Schönberg’s Suite for Piano, op. 25 will be aware of this work’s indebtedness to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Highly regarded for her interpretations of Viennese Classical and Romantic music, the great interpreter has also always explored the works of the Viennese School. The Arnold Schönberg Center is delighted to present at this concert a new CD by the pianist with works by Berg, Webern, and Schönberg.
