Arnold Schönberg: Erwartung op. 17 (Arr. Faradsch Karaew)
Vilma von Webenau: Die Ballade vom Spielmann

In 1924, Vilma von Webenau’s "Ballade vom Spielmann [...] in ihrer modernen Instrumentierung und originellen Vertonung" [Ballad of Spielmann [...] in its modern instrumentation and original musical setting] had a successful world premiere at the Wiener Konzerthaus. One hundred years later, we get to experience the work again – this time combined with the monodrama "Erwartung", based on a poem by the Viennese doctor Marie Pappenheim, by Webenau’s teacher Arnold Schönberg.
