In their program "Wherever I go", the Musicbanda Franui has uncovered the folk music sources of inspiration of Gustav Mahler, one of her »house and court composers«. She plays Mahler’s large-scale orchestral songs in rather small instrumentation with their special sounds. The choir of the Bayerischer Rundfunk takes over the part of the song singers. Howard Arman, the former head of the BR-Choir, has arranged the unanimous parts for a four-part choir and thus promoted them into new sound dimensions.
