Arnold Schönberg. Visionary of Art
Composer, writer, teacher, theorist, painter, inventor, leading figure of the Viennese School, pioneer of the twelve-tone method, trailblazer of modernism – Schönberg’s work opened up new frontiers for his contemporaries. His music as well as his artistic values remain relevant today. Through his vigilance and his uncompromising contributions, Schönberg became a visionary figure of the twentieth century – in new and unprecedented ways. The exhibition follows Schönberg’s path along a journey of discovery in the places where he lived and worked: from Vienna via the major cities of Europe to the film metropolis of Hollywood.
