Some works never let go of their creators for the rest of their lives. One such case is The Triumph of Time and Truth, the original Italian-language version of which Georg Friedrich Händel wrote for Rome in 1707. Exactly 50 years later, a few years before his death, he turned to the material once again. In 1757, the composer had received a new commission for London, but as he was already almost blind at this point, he used an existing composition as a relief and reworked it. Having already performed the original Italian version Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno at the MusikTheater an der Wien in the 2023/24 season, Rubén Dubrovsky and his Bach Consort Wien return with the English-language new version and continue to explore the Handel universe.
