David Orlowsky, clarinet
David Bergmüller, lute

Clarinettist David Orlowsky toured the world with his trio for twenty-one years, while David Bergmüller is one of Europe’s foremost lutenists. Playing a session together one day it became clear to them after only a few bars that they wanted to make music together. The Alter Ego project was born. Now the two artists are setting off on a journey into uncharted worlds of sound – because there is no historical precedent for the combination of lute and clarinet. Taking Baroque compositions by Henry Purcell and John Dowland as their starting point, and adding compositions of their own, they create a musical experience that is, quite literally, unheard of.

The event takes place in the "Hölle", a venue in the deepest room in the basement of the Theater an der Wien.
