French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf is currently one of the most popular instrumentalists on the French music scene. He is characterized by his oriental-influenced, emotionally profound jazz blend and skillful fusion of various musical genres. Originally pursuing a career as a classical trumpeter, he advanced from the turn of the millennium onwards to become a pop, jazz and world great through collaborations with artists such as Sting, Salif Keita, Amadou & Mariam, Tryo, Matthieu Chedid and Lhasa de Sela.
