Paul Weller

With Paul Weller, another of the great legends of British pop music and one of the most important songwriters of the last decades comes to the Volkstheater this fall. With his first band, The Jam, the "Modfather" redefined punk rock like New Wave, before combining soul and Motown sounds with a class consciousness trained on the English miners' strikes with The Style Council. Since the '90s, he has been making music history as a solo artist and has been instrumental in the development of Britpop. His energetic concerts remain unforgettable live events to this day - not least because of an insatiable curiosity to keep opening up new musical fields.
