Innovation Corner: Medical engineering and assistive technology

The new exhibition format “Innovation Corner” gives Austrian start-ups and innovative businesses a stage for presenting pioneering technologies. Visitors can learn what innovations are currently being explored and what new ideas are being developed in Austria and get exclusive previews of the first prototypes.

The first presentation, which will be on display at the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Museum of Science and Technology) starting 4 October 2022, focuses on innovations in the field of medical engineering and assistive technology. Six promising developments and the involved organisations will be presented: training software for brain surgeries, a digital health assistant, medical screws made from human bone, a product to alleviate tinnitus, AI-based software to increase the success rate of in-vitro fertilisation and, last but not least, a custom-made alternative to balconies that requires no planning consent. In the Innovation Corner, visitors can witness first-hand the creativity and inventiveness of Upper Austria.
