Since it was founded 34 years ago, the Jewish Film Festival Vienna (JFW) has been committed to bringing the art of film to the people. The most important thing for us is to actively counteract increasing anti-Semitism and racism. Current political and social developments prove that this commitment is and will continue to be more necessary than ever.
A special focus this year is on international productions that show the effects of right-wing extremist hatred of Jews and socially fueled prejudices, war and threats. Films about peace initiatives and successful resistance, on the other hand, provide a constructive and optimistic view of this challenging topic.

The approximately 40 feature films, documentaries and short films at JFW24 are about people who are trying with all their might to escape terror or threats and create peace - on a political, social or private level.
