At the 40th Danube Island Festival, more than 1,000 artists on 13 stages and a colorful daily program offer a total of more than 700 hours of programming on three festival days - as always with free admission for all.

Europe's largest open-air festival with free admission offers a brilliant program for all generations and tastes. Music of all genres comes from national and international acts such as Silbermond, Michael Patrick Kelly, Viennese rapper RAF CAMORA, Bonnie Tyler, The BossHoss, Austro-pop cult band Wir 4, Julian le Play and Felix Jaehn. German DJ star Glockenbach, female cover band The Iron Maidens from Los Angeles, Jazz Gitti, Wencke Myhre & Band and the Spider Murphy Gang will also provide a colorful mix of music. In addition, there will be a big 88.6 Rocktogether again this year, with Austria's biggest rock band performing. The big festival stage will be opened on each of the three festival days by one of the three female winners of the Rock The Island Contest 2023: RAHEL, KTEE and FELICIA LU

In addition, design is once again on the DIF program this year: at the BANK AUSTRIA EDELSTOFF POP-UP DESIGNMARKT, young female designers will be brought before the curtain, and visitors will be able to discover unique creations.

The sports, fitness, and dance program also extends throughout the entire festival in its anniversary year. Highlights include the sports unit "Fit mit Philipp powered by Wien Energie and spusu", yoga by AuroraYoga as well as disco training powered by HEUTE - die Tageszeitung and dance classes with the Kopetzky dance school with line dancing, boogie & cha cha cha. There will be several sports performances by the Baseball School Vienna, ASKÖ WAT and Yu-Teakwondo as well as a paddle tennis tournament, footvolley for young and old to try out, a 3x3 basketball tournament and teach beach volleyball coaches for children and youth. At the OKIDOKI KINDERFREUNDE INSEL everything revolves around the smallest ones.

The ASB and the police give demonstrations with rescue dogs, police service dogs but also therapy assistance dogs. The Austrian Armed Forces will open a variety of sporting activities on the ACTION & FUN Island, such as obstacle courses for the youngest, Ninja courses and a military course.

Finally, a tip for those who want to party into the next day on Festival Saturday: Starting at 10 p.m., the DIF Aftershow Party at the Ottakringer Brewery (free admission).
