In 2024, Vienna Art Week will celebrate a big anniversary – the 20th edition of the festival will take place from November 8 to 15. With this year's theme Facing Time, Vienna Art Week reflects on its 20-year history and explores the dimensions of time. 

Every year, the Vienna Art Week shines a spotlight on Vienna’s vibrant art scene. Together with around 70 program partners, the festival offers a week of inspiring art from the Baroque to the present with free admission. It sees itself as a joint platform for the Viennese art scene and is based on a globally unique cooperation between Vienna's art institutions, art universities, galleries, independent art spaces and artists.

The grand opening evening of the anniversary celebrations will take place this year on November 8, 2024 in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. For one evening, art will be celebrated in the Academy's Atelierhaus (former Semperdepot) - with live performances, installations and artistic positions on the theme of time.
