KARLSkino 2025
The KARLSkino is an open-air film festival on Karlsplatz. The program consists of hand-picked delicacies, cinematic novelties and current debates - inspired by the Karlsplatz art square with all its institutions and users.
Karlsplatz is a vibrant and transformative place and an important center of social and cultural life in the city.
KARLSkino opens its two-week program on 7 July with the documentary “URTOBĒN - Vienna's illegal Artforms” by Bastian Brandstötter, in keeping with the urban flair of the festival. It is about urban exploration and the risky art of creating street art in hidden and forbidden places in Vienna. There will be music and live graffiti action before the performance.
